Stop Optimizing. Start Paying Attention

Most coaching starts with the assumption that something is wrong with you.

That you need to be fixed. Improved. Optimized. Made more productive, more efficient, more successful.

I start somewhere else.

Not because those things don't matter. But because in twenty years of working one to one with people, I've noticed that the problem is almost never what it looks like on the surface. Underneath the productivity question is usually an attention question. Underneath the success question is usually a clarity question. Underneath the clarity question is usually a person who hasn't had a quiet enough moment to hear themselves think.

That's what I work with.

Not formulas. Not strategies. Not a better version of you to aspire toward.

Just attention. Slowed down enough to notice what's actually happening. Which turns out to be the hardest thing — and the most useful.

This is my coaching practice in Vancouver. One to one. Your life as the material.
