Why can’t I follow through on what I know I should do?

Most of us are exhausted by the version of ourselves that's supposed to have it together.

The one who knows what to eat, how to exercise, when to sleep, how to think. The one who has read the books, made the lists, set the intentions.

And still. Doesn't follow through.

It's not a knowledge problem. You already know what to do. Most people do.

What happens is subtler than that. In the moment just before action, something shifts. Attention moves off the thing you're about to do and onto yourself doing it. Will this work. Am I doing it right. Should I change the plan first.

That split — attention turning into self-monitoring — is what breaks movement.

The action stays clear. It just doesn't happen.

This is what I work with in my coaching practice in Vancouver.

What I've noticed, after more than twenty years, is that this rarely gets better through more information or stronger willpower.

Not through videos or books or even an AI explaining it to you.

It just gets easier when you're not doing it alone. With someone by your side, every step of the way.
