Can we clean up our mess and make the earth happy again?
What Does Your Rock Bottom Look Like?
Is it failure? Is it a cherished dream not yet realized, or years of hard work that have not paid off?
Is it an addiction of some kind, or a behavior you can’t stop, and it’s finally beaten you into submission?
Often rock bottom shows up as a spiritual crisis; life becomes hopeless or loses all meaning. Interestingly enough, this can happen after achieving a cherished goal and yet afterwards we still feel a strange emptiness.
One of the reasons many people arrive on my doorstep is a personal or business relationship that is in conflict or is quickly heading down that path.
When people become triggered, it's like striking a match; it flames up hot in an instant, and can be hard to extinguish before someone gets burned or thrown away because they have been used up.
How do you stop the flame from going out inside of you amidst the craziness of modern living?
To keep the flame burning in the lamp, we must endeavour to keep putting the oil of purpose in it, and we need to carry it with us to light our path as we walk it.
But just what is our path and how do we find it?
MYTH: Coaching is about peak performance, goals and problem solving
Reality: I know this one may seem hard to believe, but it's actually good news.
- It's not about problem solving, but problems get solved.
- It's not about performance, but performance improves
- It's not about goals, but they get achieved easier
- It's not about results, but they improve naturally
